About Picckles

Picckles tells you three things, and only three things: which stock to buy, when to buy it, and when to sell it. Everything else — you keep control of.

What is Picckles?

Picckles watches the stock market every day so you don't have to. When it spots a strong stock worth buying, you get an email with the stock, the price, and the plan. When it's time to sell, you get another email. That's the whole product.

You place every trade yourself, at whatever broker you already use. Picckles never touches your money and never needs access to your brokerage account — it only sends you information.

How it works, in four steps

1. Scan

Every trading day, Picckles checks hundreds of large US stocks and keeps only the ones already in a strong, steady uptrend.

2. Buy alert

When one of those stocks takes a short-term dip — a pause, not a breakdown — you get a BUY email with the exact entry price.

3. Hold

You hold the position. Typical trades run about a week, sometimes less, sometimes more — the sell signal decides, not the calendar.

4. Sell alert

Once the stock recovers back to its normal trend, you get a SELL email telling you to close the position.

The two alert strategies

Pro

Swing Trade

Buys a short-term dip in a strong uptrend that is also outperforming the S&P 500, with an after-close alert you act on the next morning. Buys 80% of your per-stock budget up front, with one optional ADD alert for the rest if it dips a further 3%. Skips dips that come right after an earnings report. Sells into the recovery — a +2% pop (+0.5% over your average cost if you added) or a new 11-day high, whichever comes first — and that SELL email fires the moment it happens; a trade still open after 20 trading days sells as soon as it is back to break-even. About six trading days typical hold, 85% backtested win rate.

Premium

Swing Elite

The same entry signal and profit targets as Swing Trade, with better decisions about the book. When more stocks qualify than you have room for, it takes the biggest drops measured against an 11-day high rather than a 7-day one; and a position that has gone 20 trading days without getting back above your cost hands its place to a better-ranked new signal. Its optional ADD waits for a deeper 3.5% dip. The win rate is the same 85%; over 25 years the return is 33% a year against Swing Trade's 29%, with a worst drop of 22% against 35%.

Both are signal-only — no automated trading, no brokerage connection. Pro sends Swing Trade; Premium sends Swing Elite in its place. Every plan also includes a live signals dashboard and backtested results, so you can see the track record before committing real money.

What Picckles does not do

  • ✓Doesn't place trades on your behalf — you always execute manually at your own broker
  • ✓Doesn't require any brokerage connection, API keys, or account access
  • ✓Doesn't promise guaranteed profits — every trade carries real risk of loss
  • ✓Doesn't need you to watch charts all day — one email to buy, one email to sell

Frequently asked questions

What does Picckles actually do?

It answers three questions for you: which stock to buy, when to buy it, and when to sell it. Every day it scans the market for strong US stocks taking a short breather, and emails you when one is ready to buy — then emails you again when it's time to sell.

Do I need a brokerage account or Interactive Brokers?

You need your own brokerage account — any broker works. Picckles does not place trades for you and doesn't require any connection to your account. You get an email, you place the trade yourself.

What is the difference between Pro and Premium?

Pro gets you Swing Trade alerts. Premium gets you Swing Elite instead — the same setup, but it picks between same-day candidates on a longer window and recycles a slot that has stalled below your cost for a month. Same win rate, but over 25 years of backtesting it earned 33% a year against 29%, its worst drop while holding was 22% against 35%, and it came out ahead in all 21 start years tested.

What stocks and markets does it cover?

Large, liquid US stocks on the NYSE and NASDAQ — the kind of names you've heard of. Both strategies only ever consider stocks already in a strong, established uptrend.

Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes. You don't need to read charts or understand the technicals — the alert tells you the stock, the price, and what to do. You just need a brokerage account to place the trade. Try the 30-day free trial first, no card required.

What if I sign up while a stock is already mid-trade?

You'll only get a BUY email while that alert is still fresh — within a day or two of it firing. If too much time has passed, the entry price has likely moved, so Picckles skips it and you simply get the next fresh signal instead. When it's time to close a position, the SELL email arrives on its own — there's nothing to confirm and no buttons to click.

I'd rather build my own bot — can I get the raw signals?

Yes — the Signals API gives you Swing Trade and Swing Elite entry/exit signals over HTTP, so you can drive your own automated bot instead of reading emails. Both feeds include the two-lot scale-in: the exits endpoint tells your bot when to ADD the second lot, and on Swing Elite it also tells you when a position has become eligible to have its slot recycled. A free tier is available to try it out.
